Cris was raised in a small town south of Houston, Texas, and spent the majority of his formative years making radio shows, acting in plays and shooting short films with friends. He started his career at FUNimation in 2008 as an ADR Engineer, but six years later he took the director’s seat and hasn’t looked back! Here are just a few of his favorite titles he’s directed: Black Clover, Pop Team Epic, Death Parade, Ghost In The Shell: Arise, Steins;Gate 0 and Snow White with the Red Hair.
After wrapping the current season of Black Clover, Cris has turned his attention to titles such as Wonder Egg Priority, Listeners and most recently Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan!
Since the beginning of his time at FUNimation, Cris has been voice acting in various titles and has been fortunate enough to play over 300 roles! Some of his more notable include: Sato, Death Arms and Gigantomachia in My Hero Academia, Bepo in One Piece, Botamo in Dragon Ball: Super, Lion in Africa Salaryman, Narrator in Black Clover, Tetsuo Takahashi in Interviews with Monster Girls, Robby in RobiHachi, Takeru Noto in Fire Force just to name a few!
In addition to his work at FUNimation, Cris has also been able to branch out and lend his voice to some video games including, Borderlands 2, Trashmouth and Quietfoot in Borderlands 3, Strix in Paladins, and Yakon in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
Kazha is a rock band founded by a Japanese Singer/Bassist Kazuha Oda and a Guitarist Hideki Matsushige. The band has been touring in the U.S.A. with their Artist visa.
Kazuha is a classically trained singer worked in various genres of music from Classic to Heavy Metal. She worked with wide variety of Grammy Award-winning recording artists and producers including Bob James and Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell.
After the release of Kazha’s first album in 2010, they made their first U.S.A. debut performing at San Francisco’s Asian Heritage Celebration sharing the stage with hip-hop group Far East Movement. In September 2010, the band made its first Anime Convention debut at Colorado’s Premier Anime Convention “Nan Desu Kan”. They also appeared at “Vianco Expo” and made their Mexican debut that same year. Since then, they have toured more than 35 states made special guest appearances at numerous Anime/Comic Conventions and Festivals around the U.S.A.
Kazha has also performed at world famous venues such as Whiskey A Go Go, sharing stage with musicians such as Gilby Clarke, George Lynch, Tracii Guns, LA Guns, Y&T, and Trapt.
In 2014, Kazha gradually started to move their base of operations to Memphis, TN. Since then, they have been featured on local broadcasts such as WREG News Channel 3, ABC 24 News, and WMC Action News 5.
October 2018, Kazha released their self-titled third album “Kazha”. Kazha represents a new future of music: a fusion of cultures and musical view points that create their sound, combining the softness of a falling feather and the heaviness of a hurricane.
Mark Whitten is an LA based actor working in animation and video games with companies like DreamWorks, Disney, Netflix, DC, Sony Playstation, Square Enix, Nintendo, Bethesda, EA, and many more.
Notable roles include Kyojuro Rengoku (Demon Slayer), Seteth (Fire Emblem: Three Houses), Oh (Home: Adventures with Tip and Oh), Leslie Kyle (Final Fantasy VII Remake), and Alex (Street Fighter V).
Additional roles in anime include Mikitaka (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), Kyoya Kujo (Gundam Build Divers), Silas Karlisle (Beyblade Burst), Liu Tien Hua (Ingress: The Animation), Flutter (Hunter x Hunter), Drole (The Seven Deadly Sins), Enchu (Muhyo and Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation), Van Reichnott (The Rising of the Shield Hero), Cislo (The Promised Neverland), and Kato (Lupin the 3rd: Goodbye Partner), and Peppy Hare (Star Fox Zero: the Battle Begins).
Mark is also the co-creator/actor/voice director for the popular horror podcast, The Hotel, and the award winning sci-fi anthology, The Theatre of Tomorrow.
He has two cats, Ashi and Haku, who are the best children anyone could ask for.
